What products will improve continuity in my business?
Modern telephone solutions should enable flexible and secure working conditions that allow employees to be productive whether they’re in the office, on the road, or at home.
SIP technology is normally seen as a replacement to standard ISDN. SIP brings with it an array of IP only features that will automatically come into action during a disaster. With traditional ISDN circuits, there is normally no intelligence and limited disaster recovery configuration, which may take several hours to implement.
1. Instant and automated routing
If you have multiple offices or call centres and one was to go offline, a SIP provider can setup an instant reroute, so that calls are directed to an office or employee’s mobiles that are still online.
2. Find an operational number
If a specific number was to go out of action or cannot be found, a Finder tool can run through a pre-set list of numbers, until an operational number is found.
3. Spend and regional limitations
Spend limitations and regional limitations can stop your business losing huge sums of money if your phone system was to get hacked. With a SIP solution, you can block certain number types, countries and calls at specific periods.
Hosted telephone systems
A hosted telephone system allows for multiple sites to run from a single PBX. This allows multiple offices and remote workers all to collaborate, under one platform. A hosted PBX is run through applications that can be run on desktops and mobile devices.
The pricing strategy for this type of platform, is normally worked out per user, per month. Calls across the PBX will be free, creating big savings on internal calls.
Multiple sites and phone systems
If your business operates across multiple sites using several telephone systems, you may be able to connect the systems, depending on the technology being used. By having two or more physical phone systems, even if one was to go down, calls for that system can be routed to other systems that remain operational.
How do I protect my ISDN lines?
If you’re not looking for IP telephony but require disaster recovery on your ISDN lines, this is possible if your PBX is IP compatible. There are options to ensure ISDN lines are protected.
