in2tel improves its compliance and processes with a transformed quality management system (QMS) that meets ISO 9001:2015 certification.
in2tel recognises the value of quality management among its systems. Not only does it help the business provide specific levels of service and support, but it also helps guide stakeholders with a clear structure of procedures that should be followed.
ISO 9001 is the quality management system standard set by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). The certification is awarded to businesses that have the processes in place that match the framework of the 9001 standards requirements.
What does the ISO 9001:2015 cover?
It’s based on the high-level structure which is a common framework for all management system standards. This helps keep consistency, align different management system standards and apply common language across all standards. It makes it easier for organisations to incorporate their QMS into core business processes, make efficiencies, and get more involvement from senior management.
- Requirements for a QMS, including documented information, planning and determining process interactions
- Responsibilities of management
- Management of resources, including human resources and an organisation’s work environment
- Product realisation, including the steps from design to delivery
- Measurement, analysis, and improvement of the QMS through activities like internal audits and corrective and preventive action
What does this mean for customers?
While in2tel has always taken compliance and quality management very seriously, up until now the business has never been officially accredited. This accreditation will hopefully give customers peace of mind that their services, support, and any interactions with in2tel, will always be completed to a specific level of quality.
The QMS must show that the business consistently meets its customer’s needs and that it reviews and improves the system to ensure the best performance is achieved.
What does this mean for in2tel?
ISO 9001 will hopefully open doors for in2tel in the public sector, as the business looks to further expand. Some local authorities and major contractors will not accept tenders from non-registered suppliers.
Completing the certification has helped in2tel organise its processes and the efficiency of those processes and now sets a level of expectation that all employees and partners can work too.
“It’s great to have achieved the ISO 9001 accreditation, it re-enforces my belief that in2tel has the correct approach to our customer’s requirements and business processes.
It reassures me that our core processes are right to build on for the next level of growth I want to achieve with both our direct and reseller customers.” Mark Hennessy, Managing Director of in2tel
